Itinerary:

 Day 1. Tbilisi– Zugdidi – Mestia (500 km/ app. 9-10 hrs driving) / The road form Tbilisi goes through the cites: Gori, Khashuri, Zestaponi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi. Lunch en route around 13:00pm – 14:00pm. Change transport in Zugdidi. Drive to Mestia through the Enguri Gorge up along impressive and exciting road. Optional: brief stop on the way to Mestia in the village of Khaishi to taste local pie Kubdari, if time permits. Arrival in Mestia. Dinner and overnight in local family house in Mestia.

Day 2. Mestia Breakfast. Visit museum of Mestia which boasts of ancient manuscripts, icons, metal work, coins and artifacts. Visit Lagami St. George church and Swan dwelling complex. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight in local family house

Day 3. Mestia – Tbilisi (500km/ app. 9-10 hrs. driving) / Breakfast. Departure for Tbilisi. On the way visit Latali and Lenjeri family churches with impressive wall paintings. Change transport in Zugdidi. Picnic lunch en route. Late afternoon arrival in Tbilisi.
